The county town of Regen is twinned with Eschwege (Hesse, Germany), Mirebeau (France) and Roth (Franken, Germany). We are honoured to be sponsors of the former residents of the Bergreichenstein area and the 112^th Tank Infantry Division stationed in Regen.

Regen was first mentioned in documents in 1148 and has a long and eventful history. Historic buildings on the town square tell the story of Regen’s development from market town to modern county town.
